  • Is for HUMANITY an art school?
    for HUMANITY is not a traditional art school, it is a creativity school. Creativity is a powerful tool to develop as it is applicable in every area of life, beyond drawing or painting. Our mission is to encourage creative problem solving, design thinking, and different ways of expressing those findings. We believe in a fun, hands-on analogue environment where trial and error and experimentation are encouraged. We aim to bring humanity back to our youth through the power of creativity, art, design and human connections. Classes will have an artisitic component, as art is a foundation of creativity and humanity.
  • Do you offer programs for children?
    Yes. This fall we are offering more than DRAWING for children ages 7-8, and 9-10. The classes for older kids ages 11-12 and 13-14 got filled really quickly so we are not open for enrolment at this time. Subscribe to our email list so we can keep you posted of when we open registration for different age groups and different courses in 2024.
  • Do you offer programs for teenagers?
    Yes. We offer two programs for teenagers. PORTFOLIO for Uni If your teen is planning to apply to art or design school, we help him/her to create a portfolio suitable for admission. We are also helpful to recommend the most suitable art or design program for your teen. Coming up in 2024 LIFE is real A program specifically designed for teenage boys
  • Do you offer private classes?
    Yes. We'd love to speak with you. Please send us an email and we'll contact you to discuss.
  • Do you offer group classes for Home Schooling?
    Yes. We'd love to speak with you. Please send us an email and we'll contact you to discuss.
  • Are all your courses co-ed?
    No. We have a program LIFE is real that is specifically geared towards teenage boys. The rest of the classes are all co-ed.
  • How do I enrol my child for the classes?
    Registration Please email us at info@for-humanity.ca In your email please include your name and contact, name and age of your child and the class that you want to enroll. Classes are small Payment E-transfer at info@for-humanity.ca Payment must be done in full at the start of the course.
  • What skills does my child need to have to enrol in more than DRAWING?
    IMAGINATION. That's the only pre-requisite.
  • Does my kid need to be able to draw or paint?
    No. more than DRAWING is a class about creativity. We will teach your child some basic techniques, but it is not a drawing class and drawing is not a pre-requisite.
  • Will my kid get personalized attention?
    Yes. We keep our classes small to a maximum of 8 kids so every chlld gets lots of one-on-one time with their creative mentor.
  • What is LIFE is real?
    LIFE is real is a program specifically designed for teenage boys grades 10, 11 and 12 tailored to help them thrive in their personal and academic development. . We believe that in today's world boys have unique needs and challenges that are grossly overlooked and unattended. It is not counselling or coaching in the traditional sense. Instead, it's a methodology that empowers the teen to start mapping out their future, set and achieve goals; identify and develop the skills that they need to succeed in life. We use a combination of experiential learning, mentorship, and skill-building exercises to help our students reach their full potential. For more information about LIFE is real please contact us as we will be offering group classes, individual mentorship and a full-day one week summer session in July 2024.
  • When does LIFE is real start?
    Individual sessions This program for your teen boy starts whenever you are ready. We will have a 30 min exploratory meeting and there we'll decide how many sessions and the frequency of the meetings with your teen. Group sessions. Starting February 2024 This program will be a hybrid format. 1 individual session and 3 group sessions. The group sessions will be in person. Summer session July 2024 4 full-day in-person sessions with a maximum of 7 teens Please subscribe to our mailing list so we can keep you updated about our upcoming programs and registration deadlines.
  • What is PORTFOLIO for Uni?
    If your teen is planning to pursue a creative career, he or she will need to have a portfolio to apply. We help your teen create a portfolio to meed post-secondary standars. All mentors are working professionals and many are also educators at various colleges and universities in Canada. 1) Individual, one-on-one either in-person or online This offer is open to teenagers outside of Vancouver including future international students. Coming up Summer 2024 2) Self-directed, on-line with the option to add one-on-one sessions
  • How can I register for PORTFOLIO for uni?
    Registration is open when you are ready. Please email us for a free 20 minute consultation to assess your needs, and we will give you the best option to help you achieve your portfolio goals.
  • Are you able to recommend schools where I may apply for my creative education?
    Yes. We have 25 years of experience delivering creative education around the country so we will be able to recommend the program best suited for the focus you are interested on.
  • If I complete PORTFOLIO for uni, do you guarantee admission to the university or college of my choice?
    No. We cannot guarantee admission to any institution. However, we have extensive knowledge about the different programs offered and will be able to make sure you have your best foot forward
  • Do offer corporate creativity classes?

  • Do you offer classes for adults?
    We will be offering classes for adults starting September 2024
